Bill will be speaking on the coming developer related releases and changes coming from Microsoft in 2012.  For starters there will be a new operating system – codenamed Windows 8 which brings a new runtime environment highlighted by new libraries called Windows RT.  We’ll look at installing and running this on your current devices without touch support.  We’ll look at the Build diagram for developers and talk about what’s missing and what it really says.  Then there is codename Visual Studio 11 which is bringing new language enhancements and the tools to support the new development environment.  We’ll take a look at a few of the language enhancements and talk about what WinRT really means for developers.  We’ll look in detail at these two key new products plus talk about long term considerations for your current development efforts.
